“Instrumental doom from Philly. Heavy atmospheres with a blend of stoner doom & sludge.”

Philadelphia instrumental doom metal quartet Seismic released their staggering debut full-length album, »The Abyss Of Time«, on October 2, 2026. Comprising five tracks that span a massive 62-minute runtime, the album delivers a deeply thoughtful yet visceral experience, seamlessly weaving the morose slog of classic doom with an expansive, post-metallic cosmic sprawl.

To celebrate the album’s launch, Seismic took the stage live at the inaugural In the Key Of Doom festival in Brooklyn, NY.

The album sets its tone immediately with the opener, »In The Days Of The Comet«, establishing a tense ambience that builds through a slow fade-in of percussion before unleashing the band’s signature tectonic weight. Listeners will also recognize a familiar monument: a fully realized version of their 2023 29-minute demo epic, »The Time Machine«, serves as the album’s gargantuan closer.

»The Abyss Of Time« marks a massive evolutionary step for the independent four-piece, capturing their fluid instrumental synergy and uncompromising heaviness.
