Over the course of two decades, Quinn S. lead numerous bands as both primary songwriter and frontman in the Baltimore area. After the dissolution of his last band, he continued writing and recording as a solo artist for several years releasing a handful of albums, EPs, and singles under his own name.

In late 2019, Quinn founded Loud Lines opening a new chapter of his music career. After releasing a number of EPs and a debut album in 2020, he soon found himself writing more and more instrumental music, first exhibited on Loud Lines’s »There Is No Alone When There Is No One«. After a scrapped commercial score, Quinn began writing and recording a handful of songs that were unlike anything he had written before: songs that stood on their own without any lyrics. For the first time, he felt like everything he wanted to say musically laid in the notes from his guitar. It felt like a new chapter in his musical journey, and, roughly two months later, he had completed writing, recording, producing, mixing, and mastering what would become Seabreather’s debut full-length album, »La Marea«.

Sometimes words just can’t capture the feeling, but notes will always resonate. If anything, the hope is the music of Seabreather means whatever the listener hears in each song. For Quinn, it’s the sound of someone finding hope and light in the unpredictably and darkness of life, a life that’s usually defined by its shadow. These tides are pulling us out…
