American Midwest bands Sunwise and Kilverez teamed up for a split 7″ single, »Oath Skull / Dead On«, out on January 3rd, 2025 via DIY label Half Empty Records.

Sunwise hails from the American Midwest, with its members spread across the prairies of Illinois. Encoded in their DNA lies traces of a historically battle tested framework – Champaign’s big guitars, Kansas City’s dissonance, and Chicago’s aggression, with twists and turns through a unique soundscape, alternating between unashamedly forthright rock and haunting textures and melodies.

Vocals/guitar/drums were recorded by Colin Larson at Giant Donut (Woodstock, IL) and bass was recorded by Mark Wyman at ToneGood (Urbana, IL) in October of 2024.

Kilverez is a heavy rock band based out of St. Louis, Missouri. Heavy, Midwest desert rock, sprinkled with hints of doom and hooks. First album »Kilverez« released on vinyl and digital on August 31st 2019. Second album »Bring On The Asteroid« released on CD and digital on December 3rd 2022.
