Spitting in the face of Arizona’s scorched, dry desert heat, Phoenix’s psychedelic sludge rockers Slow Drawl prove themselves to be just as gritty and tastefully sun-fried on their debut EP »Pile Of Bones«.
Guitarist and vocalist Kyle DeHart has been scuffing his boots in the heavy underground since 2017, delivering bluesy riffs and his signature laidback yet sneering vocal delivery across the American south. Beginning with the outlaw country and punk influenced Denim Dan & The Blue Jean band, he soon progressed to the heavier, doomier Battle Jacket, and now finds his finest form yet in the psychedelic sludge of Slow Drawl.
Says the band: “We are Slow Drawl, a 3 piece sludge rock group from Phoenix, AZ. Our sound is a fusion of our favorite genres: psych rock, punk, and classic country. Slow Drawl consists of Kyle DeHart on guitar & lead vocals, Austin DiMaria on bass & vocals, and Ben Sandoval on drums.”
Slow Drawl ain’t your pappy’s desert rock. It’s high noon and these boys just rode into town on lean, mean, mind-altering riffing machines.
