Kansas City, Missouri based sludge/death/doom metal band Gurney return with their new single »Bong Wizard«, released on April 20th, 2025.

The band commented: “While we’ve been a little quiet the last few months, we’re still alive and smoking. Some new riffs and announcements are on the way real soon. But for that special day of the year, we wanted to get something out there to let everyone know we’re still here. So we re-recorded one of our classic hits in a real studio instead of the ol Gurn-cave. Burn one, have a listen, and we’ll be headbanging with all of you in no time.”

Gurney is a “sludgedeathdoom” band from Kansas City, MO. Conjuring the sound of 4 Orcs hot boxing a monster truck, Gurney keeps it low, slow & disgusting.

Gurney went into the studio with producer Justin Mantooth (Orphans Of Doom, Hyborian) late 2023 and recorded their first official release ‘The Creeper’. With more music on the horizon and an impeccable merch game, Gurney is just getting started.
