Louisville, Kentucky based sludge/doom metal duo Azell premiere their brand new single »Apocalypse Verdict«, which was just released on December 8th, 2023. This is the first single taken from the band’s upcoming debut album »Death Control«.

Husband and wife creative duo, D X and C X, are perhaps best known for their work in comedy metal troupe Timōrātus (as well as the shoegaze/dreampop band Color Crush), but their latest musical venture is anything but light hearted. Beneath the war torn banner of Azell, the pair have carved out some of the most towering, monolithic metal ever unleashed. A soul-crushing blend of impossibly heavy doom and caustic, spirit scouring sludge, Azell’s debut album »Death Control« is a truly monstrous leviathan of sound.

Now aligned with the forces of Rottweiler Records, Azell will unveil the sky-scraping machinery of »Death Control« in March 2024, complete with artwork created by D X that captures the album’s essence of staggering scale and terrifying power beyond comprehension.
