El Paso, Texas sludge metal band Ojo Malo share a music video for the latest single »Grim Greefo Rising« taken from their debut EP, »Black Light Fever Tripping«, released on July 7th, 2023.

From the ashes of Texas stoner rock band Brother Strange, rises the darkness of sludge metalers, Ojo Malo. As a heavier sound emerged, it was clear that the death of the Brother Strange spirit was inevitable, and a new evil one materialized.

Built around the Mayan / Aztec mythologies, Ojo Malo’s thick, distorted, super heavy evolution, gives a nod to spiritual forefathers Black Sabbath.

In its first year of existence, Ojo Malo has opened for Accept, Twin Wizards, Mac Sabbath, Raven, Riot, Wednesday 13, Ape Machine, Conan, among others thru the Southwest.

Their first EP »Black Light Fever Tripping« is released in June of 2023. Produced by Hector Camarena at Lobo Sound Labs.
