American stoner rock/heavy psych duo Burning Sister releases new single and music video »Sunspots«

Denver, Colorado based stoner rock/heavy psych duo Burning Sister premieres a brand new single and music video »Sunspots«, released on April 29th, 2026.

“Burning Sister prove once again why they’re one of the most versatile and creative bands around within the underground scene.” – Steve Howe, Outlaws Of The Sun

The latest offering from Denver based bass and drum duo Burning Sister, and the first single following the band’s »Ghosts« album.

The band bring stoner psych tinge to a punchy seven minute grunge epic that transports your mind to simpler time and place.

In the band’s words, “»Sunspots« is the sound of Summer.”

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jamie Hillyer at Module Overload.

“To me »Sunspots« is the sound of Summer. Immediately after coming up with the initial riff I was instantly transported back in time to my youth and lazy days of hanging out with friends and getting our heads right. I leaned into that feeling and the rest of the song almost immediately fell into place. It’s a throwback to the days of not having a care in the world, hanging out under the sun, and voraciously consuming music, art, and shared experiences with good friends.” — Steve Miller

About Burning Sister:

Leaning into the creative momentum of their 2025 album, »Ghosts«, Denver tri-amping twogaze noise doomers Burning Sister have returned to the studio to capture the evolution of their genre blurring sound on a new collection of tracks. No longer feeling the confines of the two-piece configuration, the bass-and-drum duo are eagerly exploring where the gear and their influences take them. Lead single, »Sunspots«, is a blissed-out burner that embraces the band’s heavier side, while being equally indebted to the noise and psychedelia of Swervedriver and Sonic Youth.

Burning Sister is:
Steve Miller – Bass, Vox
Alison Salutz – Drums
