San Antonio, Texas based one-man symphonic/funeral doom metal band The Howling Void is back with a brand new full-length album, »Into Darkness Ever More Profound«, which was just released on January 6th, 2023 via Funere.

Tracklist:
01. Into Darkness Ever More Profound
02. Impenetrable Gloom
03. Deeper, Darker Waters
04. The End Of Endings

After four years of silence, The Howling Void finally returns with his 8th full-length album of glacial, orchestral funeral doom. »Into Darkness Ever More Profound« will be released in January 2023 by the Armenian doom metal label Funere.

After several years of experimenting with the synthesis of funeral doom and dark folk, The Howling Void returned to its roots in 2019 with »Bleak and Everlasting«, an album that discarded the folk elements and clean singing and returned to the crawling orchestral funeral doom style that the band is known for.

»Into Darkness Ever More Profound« continues down this dark path, placing an even greater emphasis than before on layers of lead guitar harmonies that meander slowly against a backdrop of The Howling Void’s signature majestic synths. Thematically, The Howling Void continues to explore a deep fascination with death and all of the mysteries associated with it. The new album will take listeners on a slow walk down extremely dark paths, meditating all the while on the peace and beauty associated with the cessation of life and all of its noise and absurdity.
