Andalusian psychedelic rockers The Silver Linings premiere new single »Cosmic Excursions« from their debut album »Pink Fish«

Malaga, Spain based psychedelic rockers The Silver Linings have released a music video for the second single »Cosmic Excursions« taken from their upcoming debut album, »Pink Fish«, out on October 11th, 2023 via Spinda Records.

OFF WE GO ON A COSMIC EXCURSION…

After the release of the song »Patient M« earlier in September and announcing last week that they’ll be part of the line-up of the next edition of Alhambra Monkey Week in Spain, Andalusian psych band The Silver Linings is putting out on Friday »Cosmic Excursions«, second single of their upcoming debut album »Pink Fish«, available on October 11 through Spinda Records.

September is being pretty busy for Málaga-based band The Silver Linings… With only 3 concerts to date, earlier this month they released »Patient M« as first single of their upcoming debut album »Pink Fish« (available on October 11 via Spinda Records, although pre-orders are already up and running). Immediately after, numerous Spanish media such as Ruta 66, Muzikalia or La Habitación 235 and international ones such as The Obelisk (US), Doomed Nation (SI) or Progressive Rock Journal (IT) spread the word.

Now, just two weeks before their debut album comes out, they’re back with »Cosmic Excursions« as second single, and whose lyric video was released yesterday by Mondo Sonoro (SP), Stoner HiVe (NL), Outlaws Of The Sun (UK) and Irreversível (PT). On this occasion, the band offers a face much closer to 60’s psychedelia and space rock that will delight fans of bands such as Rolling Stones, Hawkwind, Acid Mess or Andalusian-psych-rock band Atavismo.

Formed in Malaga in 2021, The Silver Linings self-released their debut EP »TSL« in May 2023. Just a few days later they signed with the indie label Spinda Records (Moura, Fin del Mundo, Moundrag, Maragda) and returned to the studio to record some additional songs. The result is »Pink Fish«, a first full-length that will be available on October 11 on digital, compact disc and on a double edition on vinyl, limited to 150 copies in black color and 150 copies in translucent orange color, and whose copies can be pre-order now HERE.

The Silver Linings are highly influenced by 20th century sci-fi, Moorcock’s literature, Moebius’ illustrations, Tarkovsky’s cinema, Jodorovsky’s work and the poetry of the beat generation; in addition to natural landscapes of Andalusia such as El Torcal in Antequera, the Gorafe desert, the dunes of Bolonia and the Strait of Gibraltar. Due to the type of music they make and the fact that they reside in the south of Spain, they could be part of the new wave of psychedelic rock in Andalusia, along with groups such as Atavismo, Híbrido, Lunavieja, Medicina, Santo Rostro, Mía Turbia, Gu Vo or DMBK; although their sound – closer to acid-psych-space-kraut-rock – makes one think more of bands like Causa Sui, Hawkwind or Can.
