Defryme is thrilled to unveil »Starkiller«, their latest EP. This eagerly awaited release breathes new life into cherished songs from their seminal 1994 album, »Purekiller«, by presenting alternative versions that capture the band’s dynamic stage presence from that era.

Featuring performances by the original »Purekiller« lineup, »Starkiller« embodies the electrifying live essence Defryme was renowned for during this pivotal phase of their career. The tracks, initially laid down at Hothouse Audio in 1993 with Paul “Woody” Annison and in collaboration with Defryme, have been reimagined and enriched with new recordings and production by Quinn Gardener-Kane at Studio F*ck Puppet in 2024.

Celebrating a landmark anniversary, »Starkiller« is launched on March 4 by Golden Robot Records, 30 years to the day after »Purekiller«’s release. »Purekiller« made a lasting impact, climbing to #4 on the Australian ARIA charts in June 1994 and cementing Defryme’s legacy in the music world.
