17 years since their last album, Elegeion have broken their silence and re-grouped to bring you their latest gothic doom metal offering – »Plight Of The Heretic«. Written over the course of a decade and recorded, mixed and mastered over 14 grueling months from November 2020 to January 2022, pausing through many lockdowns throughout the pandemic, the pain, angst and despair of the times truly came through on the album.

Five tracks totaling almost 50 minutes of what you have come to expect from Elegeion, with new members and new ideas added, however also firmly attached to the old formula with use of strings and the female voice. “We’re so proud of this achievement”, says frontman and guitarist Anthony Kwan “especially after being in suspended animation for so long, I hope you will see that the Elegeion flame is still well and truly alive.”

Recorded by Jesse Oberin at Crosstown Studios and Echidna Studios, Melbourne, Australia from November 2020 – February 2021.
