Gold Coast, Australia based progressive post-metal band The Matador is back with their new three-track EP, »Throat Of The Mountain«, which was just released on April 3rd, 2026.

Drawing from dense atmosphere, sludge weight and progressive textures, the band continue to evolve their sound. Out now, »Throat Of The Mountain« unfolds across three tracks, with »Etched In Ash« and »Etched In Stone« forming a single, interconnected movement that resolves in the EP’s title track.
