Austrian alternative/stoner/post-rock collective Ultima Radio is back with new vocalist Daniel Dorninger (Witchrider) and a brand new EP »Basement Session«. »Basement Session« EP was just released on October 4th, 2024 in audio and video format.

The band commentes: “We’re excited to officially welcome Daniel Dorninger from our long-time buddies Witchrider as our new singer! We’ve been hard at work these past months, and are finally able to share our new »Basement Session« EP with you.”

“Our Basement Session EP is the first production we’ve created together with our new frontman, Daniel Dorninger. We chose a selection of songs that we think provide a promising prospect of where the journey in our new constellation might take us, also showing Daniel’s profound influence on our new material. And, just the way we like it, we decided to set up our cameras and gear, and give you an unfiltered impression of our first performance together, marking the start of a new musical endeavor.”

Originally emerging from stoner rock, Ultima Radio combines a variety of aspects in order to define their very own style: eccentrically and deliberately they wander through the crossover of the 90’s, nu-metal of the 00’s as well as numerous other styles and reinterpret them skillfully and competently, all combined with socio-critical messages expressed through an unusually exotic singing voice. From powerful to impulsive drum beats and heavy to sentimental guitar riffs, the instruments accompany the singer through brute and massive, but also calm and gentle compositions. Influences from Queens Of The Stone Age, All Them Witches, Tigercub, Kyuss, The Mars Volta and more.
