Erdberg/Vienna, Austria based stoner/sludge/hardcore act Cyruss premiere a music video for »From Vienna With Hate« taken from their brand new album, »Hate Dies Last«, which will be released today, June 7th, 2023 via Bloodshed666 Records / bs 23.
Cyruss will also present »Hate Dies Last« live today at Venster99 in Vienna, Austria.

Says the band: “Originally this band disbanded many years ago. Since 2017 we have played some occasional gigs on a very rare basis. But during the Covid pandemic we developed a massive bore-out and decided to produce one last record. It consists of 5 old songs we had originally never recorded and which we refined a bit. And one newly written track especially for this record. And that’s the song to this video: »From Vienna With Hate«. It shows we wouldn’t be a stoner band anymore nowadays. Lyrically it draws a big influence from Billy Bragg’s »The World Turned Upside Down«. Enjoy!”
The trio from Erdberg/Vienna existed from 2004-2009 and played brutal stoner rock & sludge. Emerging from the practice room cellars of the legendary live-venue Arena Wien they regulary accompanied the by then upcoming concert-series Roadtrip To Outta Space.
Influences were bands like EyeHateGod, Dystopia, Bongzilla, Entombed, Iron Monkey, Kyuss, High On Fire, Bolt Thrower or Unsane. The lyrical content is fragmentary and of misanthropic, dystopian and anarchist nature.
The band has toured Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Croatia. They shared stages with Cult Of Luna, Suma, Kylesa, Pungent Stench, Dozer, High On Fire or Weedeater. In 2008 they contributed several songs to the soundtrack of »Saila«, the award-winning, dystopian Berlin-punk-underground film.
They released 2 albums, »Hate / Human« in 2005 and »Hate Songs« 2007. Both albums were recorded live within very short time which was certainly beneficial to their rough charm.
Since 2017 they show up live again on a very rare and irregular basis, founded the follow up band Desolat and even released one last (mini)album »Hate Dies Last« in 2023. Album is available in 3 coloured Vinyl red/black/green limited to 205 copies & digital via Bloodshed666 Records / bs 23.
