What makes us being human? »Adolf Resister« is a concept album that thematically deals with exactly this question. Side Adolf is about totalitarian systems, which are symbolized by individual people and value systems in history. While all of our lives are standardized by an opaque, higher system such as a currency unit, names such as Pol Pot or Mao symbolize brutal oppression, intellectual annihilation, conformity and genocide. »Chor Der Verdammten« depicts the hopelessness of their victims.

Side Adolf:

Currency
Rot Adolf Rot
Chor Der Verdammten
Vladimir
Pol Pot
Mao

Side B “Resister” – like the whole album by the way – goes in a more and more positive, optimistic direction. Also musically. While the first track »First World Fire« propagates nothing other than the destruction of the so-called First World as a remedy for the rest of the world, the anti-propaganda song »Liar King« swindles to side B to the “good guys”. This lie represents a break in concept, which is repeated through the rest of the tracks.

Side Resister:

First World Fire
Weiße Rose
Liar King
Odessa
Resister
Aurelia und Franz Mikusch
Gloria
Rosa Parks

And at the end of the album you end up with the initial question again: what makes us being human? What makes people victims, perpetrators or resisters? Why were people like the Scholl siblings or Aurelia and Franz Mikusch willing to risk their lives for their fellow human beings? Why do these people have empathy and backbone and others don’t? »Adolf Resister« doesn’t ask any political questions and it’s also not a political album. The questions asked on the album are philosophical in nature. The songs are the soundtrack to these questions.
