Basque death/doom metal band Sönambula stream their third full-length album »Estasis Interrumpida«, out today through Xtreem Music!

Bilbao, Spain based death/doom metal band Sönambula stream their third full-length album, »Estasis Interrumpida«, set to release today, March 9th, 2023 on CD/Digital through Xtreem Music.

Rapha Decline (guitar/lead vocals), a founding member of the Bilbao-based band Typhareth (1994), set aside his personal project (Decline); to join up with Maider (drums) to give birth to Sönambula.

Their first EP – »Hilen Argia« was recorded in 2014. Halfway through February 2016 – the band entered TyK Studios to record their first full-length release, titled »Secuela«; which was edited by Base Records in the beginning of April. 10 tracks were recorded in just 2 days. The release was composed of the 4 re-recorded tracks from the EP, and 6 new tracks. This time the production quality reflected the sound the band strove to achieve more precisely – thicker and more brutal.

In 2017 the band opened for the legendary band Master, who were on their way through Bilbao. At the same time, the band started composing their second release, titled »Bicéfalo«. »Bicéfalo« was recorded in TyK Studios, mastered in Sinergía Studios by Chicote, and was released by Xtreem Music in December 2018.

»Estasis Interrumpida« is the 3rd album by this band that plays a raw, heavy and dark death metal with hints of doom, drawing influences from bands like Incantation, Autopsy, early Asphyx, Celtic Frost, Nihilist, Coffins…
