Belarusian post-black/doom metal band Dymna Lotva share new single and music video »Адышоўшым (For Those Who Are Gone)«

Belarusian post-black/doom metal band Dymna Lotva has released a music video for their new stand-alone single »Адышоўшым (For Those Who Are Gone)«, out now via Prophecy Productions.

Dymna Lotva comments: “»For Those Who Are Gone« is probably our lightest song, but there’s a hard story behind it.

On the night of the 29th of October 1937, the Soviet government murdered over 140 Belarusian cultural and public figures. Among them were twenty-two poets & writers. Valery Marakou, the author of »For Those Who Are Gone« poem, was one of them.

In Belarus, we call it “The Night of the Executed Poets” or just “The Black Night”. Belarusian diasporas all over the world gather on this date to remember the victims of the Soviet regime. In Belarus itself such gatherings are now unsafe.

This single doesn’t belong to any future album. We just feel that we should release it now. Watch the music video on Prophecy Productions YouTube channel!

Track is available at all digital platforms.

Many thanks to fantastic videographer Ryncuk Vystarobski.”
