Belarusian sludge/doom/death metal band Matraque announces debut album »Nature Morte«; pre-orders available now via Ashen Tree Records!

Minsk, Belarus based sludge/doom/death metal band Matraque will release their debut album »Nature Morte« on May 1st, 2025 via Ashen Tree Records.

Matraque began its journey in Minsk (Belarus) in the spring of 2023. The members brought their experience from previous projects such as Rowan, Televoid, krvvla, Схизма, Coat, and Łaska.

In search of their style, where low and sluggish masses of sound are interspersed with mid-tempo bursts, the band drew inspiration from such acts as Grief, Meth Drinker, Body Void, Primitive Man, The Body, Indian, Bismuth, etc. In terms of genre, one could mention sludge, doom, and primitive death metal.

Matraque’s debut album, »Nature Morte«, will be released on May 1st. You can place a digital pre-order on Bandcamp.
