Belgian avant-garde rock collective Thot release visualizer video for Pink Floyd cover »What Shall We Do Now?«

Brussels, Belgium based avant-garde rock collective Thot has release a visualizer video for Pink Floyd cover »What Shall We Do Now?«.
The track is taken from the Pelagic Records compilation »The Dungeon Tapes«, out on August 28th, 2026 (physical) and September 18th, 2026 (digital).
Following the release of their cover of this Pink Floyd classic on the Pelagic Records compilation »The Dungeon Tapes« a few weeks ago, Thot are pleased to release a visualizer/lyrics video.
With a cover of Pink Floyd’s »What Shall We Do Now?«, Thot are blurring borderlands between industrial rock, post-metal, electronic body music, and darkwave and they create a collision of the organic and synthetic. From the claustrophobic melancholy of the first half, to the visceral impact of the second, Thot capture the brutality and vulnerability within this disturbing track.
Thot’s frontman, Grégoire Fray comments:
“I remember the first time I heard – and understood – this song. I was in high school, back in the 1990s, and I was fascinated by the power and enduring relevance of Roger Waters’ lyrics. Written in the late 1970s, they seemed to resonate deeply with the world I was growing up in. Twenty-five years later, as the future once again seemed uncertain for everyone because of the Covid crisis, those lyrics struck me just as profoundly.
Regarding the video, it was an interesting exercise to create a visual and narrative piece that could match the lyrics. I started working on it last summer, well before the devastating wildfires that swept across Europe. But this came as no surprise. Our natural surroundings have been suffering from such dramatic events for years, constantly reminding us that we are heading towards a catastrophic scenario. Just as these lyrics were written more than 40 years ago, warnings about the future we are shaping were raised long ago – not only about wildfires, but about the direction in which our future is heading.
So, what shall we do now?”
