BOG was formed in 2024 out of the Ghent-based stoner band Silent Snare, a project that had been active since 2013 within the heavier side of guitar music. What started as a group of high school friends gradually evolved into a band driven by a strong urge to reinvent itself.

During the pandemic, the band reached a turning point a need to rethink their musical direction and break away from the familiar stoner and fuzz-driven sound. With a new drummer, things started shifting, and BOG took shape as a band moving towards a broader, more layered sound.

Their debut release »Incubant«, recorded with Jannes Van Rossom at Dunk!Studios, features five tracks that explore a distinctive blend of post-metal and sludge. The record moves between intimate, restrained passages and intense, cathartic outbursts. The production remains raw and direct, no excessive layering, just the natural sound of amplifiers and space, capturing the band as they truly are. Even though you can hear influences from Stake, Isis and Amenra in our music, we always try to find an original take on the genre.

The lyrics of »Incubant« starts from the feeling of being stuck: in a place, a situation, or within yourself, and the frustration and urge to break free from it.
