Cinematic post-rock outfit Sidus releases new single and video »Stage II: Seismic Wave« which can be viewed on YouTube and added to your favorite playlist.

The single’s captivating sound is just a taste of what’s in store on the forthcoming EP, which features three tracks that promise to deliver a sonic and cinematic journey for listeners.

Says the band: “Earthquakes travel through the Earth’s crust as waves. Energy is concentrated in the epicenter and subsequently, a fracture appears as the energy builds and disperses. In parallel, during the second stage of a panic attack the person realizes several changes. The body begins to feel uncomfortable, losing some of its basic senses of orientation, sight becomes blurry and a sense of dizziness dominates. Pre-earthquakes occur as a harbinger…”

Hailing from Athens (and now based in Berlin), Sidus have carved a reputation for crafting cinematic, instrumental compositions in the same vein as bands like God Is An Astronaut, Russian Circles and The Ocean Collective. The band started out as a one-man project by Spyros Olivotos, which has seen the release of one EP and two singles (»Seasons Reversed« November 2020, »Pale Dot« June 2021, and »Dark Flames« December 2021). Their latest single »Dark Flames« has been their most impactful release to date, gaining solid recognition among the genre-seeking audience. The band is currently working on their first debut album and are planning their first live shows.
