With their debut album, one of the most exciting new voices on Berlin’s psych-rock scene is making a confident statement.

Stylistically Go Mahhh moves between psychedelic rock, shoegaze, garage and fuzz rock. Alongside psychedelic excesses, oriental-sounding melodies and heavy, powerful guitars, a shimmering soundscape emerges that is as danceable as it is intense, that rocks powerfully yet lets you drift off into a dreamlike state. Raw, direct, and energetic, carried by towering layers of reverb and echo.

The first singles already presented everything the band stands for. Behind the cryptic title “BBSBBQ” lies a snapshot of the Berlin way of life: gatherings at Tempelhofer Feld, where people, ideas and cultures come together. This is where the band got together for a BBQ with friends, where they grilled, partied – and, of course, blasted “Big Black Sabbath”. That’s the »BBSBBQ«. A song like a collective frenzy in honor of Birmingham’s Best, somewhere between urban reality and psychedelic excess. »Blood Transfusion« is a ride through Berlin’s nightlife – crazy, chaotic, endearing. »Anatoliosis« is a feverish, shimmering soundscape that can get the clubs boiling and moving.

The band has long since earned its reputation for live performances. From sweaty club shows in small bars to appearances at festivals like Void Fest, Desertfest or the legendary Herzberg – Go Mahhh is known for intense, electrifying concerts. The band also delivered a compelling performance as the opening act for Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Ever since the release of their debut EP, which they celebrated in front of a sold-out crowd, Go Mahhh has been considered a fixture of the local scene.

On »Doppelgänger«, psych-rock isn’t simply labeled “retro” and reproduced, but reimagined. The classic elements are there – fuzz guitars, repetitive structures, analog sounds – but beneath the surface lies a complex tapestry of influences. The result is unpredictable, genre-spanning sonic journeys that are eager to break free from genre labels.

Go Mahhh embody a universal psychedelic rock sound that speaks to the heart, mind, and soul – hailing from Chile, Germany and Ireland, these musicians provide the perfect soundtrack for long, vibrant Berlin nights.
