Berlin, Germany based saxodoom outfit Ursular has released a music video for their new single »Siren«, available now on all streaming platforms.

»Siren« is the first single taken from Ursular’s debut album, »Preta«, due out July 21st, 2023.

“Slowly but steadily, the day drips and turns into night, finally waking us up from the lie one tells oneself while falling in love – no, rather getting caught up in the idea of loving someone. The mysterious glare of a strange pair of eyes turns out to be a mere reflection of one’s own emptiness. The desire to find and complete oneself turns out to be a siren song that can only lead to one’s own downfall.
The initially flattering song »Siren« quickly escalates into the desperate tale of a toxic relationship, which also sets the protagonists’ inner forlornness to music through musical borrowings from black metal. Unison parts, in which guitar, bass and saxophone come together, allow the inevitable, and that is why it is so seductive, to be felt.”
