Berlin solo studio project Murrayglossus announces new album »Vigor« – a fusion of doom and heavy post-rock!

Berlin, Germany based solo studio project Murrayglossus by Schiguli bassist Ben Haeringer has announced first full-length album, »Vigor«, scheduled for release on May 5th, 2025.

Murrayglossus mastermind Ben Haeringer comments: “After the spontaneous creative outburst of 2022’s debut EP »Earthcore« which was produced in only four months, Vigor represents more than two years of work shaped by personal upheavals and transformative experiences. The music is about inner struggles, finding strength and learning acceptance.

The idea behind Vigor was to create a warm, immersive sound filled with doomy, fuzzy textures, pulsating grooves and lots of depth. Compared to »Earthcore«, »Vigor« is less metal-driven, more diverse, and more accessible for listeners to dive into while still delivering raw power and intensity.”

About Murrayglossus:

Ben Haeringer grew up in a family of classical musicians and a contemporary composer, yet he was drawn early on to the raw energy of death and thrash metal. He began learning guitar at the age of nine and played in crossover and thrash metal bands in his youth.

After studying audio engineering, Ben worked with local heavy acts in Berlin as well as international bands like Agnostic Front and Donots. Following a break from the active music scene but soaking up many different styles of music, he returned by writing and producing the Murrayglossus debut EP »Earthcore« and joining the Berlin heavy psych/post-rock band Schiguli as a bassist.

While working on his first full-length release, Ben navigated personal challenges that sparked an exploration of new paths. Driven by a spirit of experimentation, he made experiences that reshaped his perspective. The result is the new Murrayglossus album »Vigor«, which differs from its predecessor in many ways – with more depth, warmth, sonic diversity and raw power.

The album will be released on May 5th digitally on Bandcamp and all the streaming platforms.
