Bird’s new EP »The Great Beast From The Sea« out now via Olde Magick Records

The new Bird EP called »The Great Beast From The Sea« just came out yesterday, April 6th and is now available on cassette via Olde Magick Records. It can be found on the band’s Bandcamp store (Europe) and on the label’s one (US). It also inclueds all the previous productions of the band as bonus material.

Bird is a newborn combo from Napoli, Italy, including members from other bands such as Lee Van Cleef, The Dhaze and WhiskeyCold Winter. The band is currently playing a mix of rock blues from the 60’s and the 70’s, folk rock, stoner, heavy psych, Sabbath oriented doom rock and prog elements.

In order to melt all those “common influences”, the band is searching for its own identity, in a long walk that starts from the 70s (and even before) and tries to re-elaborate in both traditional and modern terms the sound of all the styles that we mentioned before. The logo was realized by Henry Bennett, who also worked with bands such as Earthless.

In April 2019, they published a mini EP, called »Mother Of Pain«, while the second single »In The Night He Comes« featuring Silvi Pearl was released in December 2019 via Electric Fire Records. An acoustic medieval version of their new song »La Danse Des Cadaveres« dropped in May 2020.
