Barcelona, Spain based experimental space doom band Boveda del Sol celebrates the 10th anniversary of their debut album »Terra Firma« with live album, »Low Orbit Sessions: Volume Terra«, which was just released on March 8th, 2026.

Boveda del Sol comments: “To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our first album, »Terra Firma«, we’ve recorded »Low Orbit Sessions: Volume Terra«, a live session where we reimagine four songs from »Terra Firma«.

This session was recorded at the Teatre del Coro in Sentmenat, in both video and audio.

As always, the band handled all the recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and this time, the video editing as well.

»Low Orbit Sessions: Volume Terra« is available now as a video on YouTube, on Bandcamp, and on streaming platforms, and also as a physical cassette release. For the physical edition, we’ve prepared a limited run of 10 units, including the cassette, a hand-engraved print with a unique design created for this occasion, and a print featuring Guanche symbolism (a Canarian civilization that inspired the creation of »Terra Firma«), all housed in a hand-painted wooden box.

Boveda del Sol is an experimental space doom band, with heavy sounds, ambient and spatial passages, mixing genres such as doom, space rock and post-metal. A project born from the quest for musical experimentation, soundscape exploration and monolithic riffs. Live, they propose a journey through the cosmos, from the quiet landscapes of the sea of tranquility on the Moon, to the brutal gravitational attraction of black holes.

After being founded as a one-man band by Jordi Vaquero, and publishing the LP »Terra Firma« in 2016, the EP »Traveler Between Worlds« in 2020 and the LP »Fueron Cautivados por el Fuego« in 2022, Boveda del Sol returns and transforms into a band with a full line-up, with Víctor (Onyric Joy), Uri (Me dicen que queme cosas) and Marçal (Maragda, Golíat) on bass, guitar and drums.

A blend of doom, psychedelia, space ambients and heavy sounds make the perfect recipe for the empirical space doom, based on experimentation and improvisation.
