Curitiba, Brazil based atmospheric doom metal collective Fohatt has just released their sophomore full-length album »Vernal Quietude« on October 23rd, 2026 via C.W. Music Records in partnership with Musika Mundi and Mutilation Records.

Fohatt is a Brazilian atmospheric doom metal band formed in Curitiba in 2021. Blending crushing riffs, melancholic atmospheres, acoustic passages, ethereal female vocals and guttural voices, the band explores nature, existence, and liberation from dogma. Their music moves between darkness, contemplation and intensity, creating immersive soundscapes beyond boundaries.

»Vernal Quietude« is an immersion into silence, nature, and the inevitable cycles of transformation. Through atmospheric doom metal, melancholic melodies, acoustic passages, and ethereal and guttural vocals, Fohatt creates dense, cinematic soundscapes where beauty and darkness coexist.

Inspired by the silent force of nature and the renewal of spring, the album moves through introspection, solitude, and catharsis, between desolation and hope. Beneath its darkness lies a reflection on existence, consciousness, and freedom, a questioning of imposed certainties and a search for a deeper connection with nature and the self.

»Vernal Quietude« contemplates decay and renewal as parts of the same cycle: what appears to end may simply be transforming. Between the weight of the earth and the vastness of silence, Fohatt finds its voice, melancholic, introspective, and elemental.
