São Paulo, Brazil based industrial sludge metal duo Brainscanner has unveiled the second single »Obsolete« taken from their upcoming debut album, »Slow Evolution«, set to release on September 22nd, 2023 via Electric Funeral Records.

Heavy, slow and mechanical riffs with lots of horror and sci-fi movies as references. Brainscanner was born in january 2016 when the guitarrist Ricardo Siqueira (Mandibulla) and the bassist João Pinheiro recorded the »Trilobita« EP, which was released in September of the same year. After this first release, Alexandre Dantas (Abstracted) joins the band playing the second guitar.

In 2018 the singles »Phoneutria« and »Evolver 1986« are released. »Phoneutria« features the former guitarrist of Beaver, Joszja Dibbes. João leaves the band and Brainscanner became a duo with Ricardo in the guitars and vocals and Alexandre on the drums. With the new line up, the duo released in 2020 the »Secret Transmissions« EP and started recording the first full-length album.
