Composed during the pandemic years of 2021 and 2022, »Gray« marks a new chapter for the one-man band Unguilty and its sound. Darker and colder than ever, it invites the listener to an introspective trip throughout its own mind and heart, bringing chaotic feelings about life, death, nature and the inherent human melancholy. For this album, Melissa Winter, a personal friend of the artist, was invited to write the lyrics.

Unguilty is a one-man depressive black/doom metal band from Curitiba, Brazil, created at the end of 2018. Inspired by darkness, nature, melancholie and by personal events, F.R. (the mind behind Unguilty) brings music with dense atmospheres, sorrowfull lyrics and all that black and doom metal has to offer.

In early 2019, the EP »Reflections Of Delusion« marks the start of the band. It is a raw DSBM, almost without any production, just the raw sound of the recordings. Being F.R.’s first insertion in music production, the sound evolution that the band presents after this first release is surprising.

In May of the same year, the debut LP »Leagcy Of Misery« is released. With a subtle improvement in production, this album begins to define the band’s sound – now, with lots of doom metal and melodic tones.

And after 4 years active, Unguilty has became an established name in the Brazilian underground scene. The 3rd full-length album »Gray« features a much more refined production quality and composition. Released on February 17, 2023 through Eternal Awake Records.
