The Brazilian great hard rock singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Fabiano Negri, who has recently released his new solo album »ZebathY«, now fully immersed in the sound of the early days of heavy metal and strongly influenced by Black Sabbath, has just released his brand new music video for the track »Princess’ Stoned Sleep«.

»ZebathY« had a huge acceptance from heavy metal fans and critics worldwide reaching expressive sales and streamings on digital platforms and »Princess’ Stoned Sleep« was one of the most praised songs in reviews.

“My initial idea was to make an album that would bring the early days of metal sound”, commented Fabiano. More than that, the musician took the opportunity to create a concept album dealing with the veiled prejudice that he identifies against women in the environment of rock and, obviously, of heavy metal, specially on social media. “From the simple ‘I don’t like bands with female vocalists’, to the outrage, a combination of sexism, chauvinism and misogyny”, he said. Thus, the story revolves around a woman who had her life destroyed because of prejudice, who gives herself over to addictions and suffers from depression. However, everything takes a turn when an entity offers her a revenge deal against those who have caused her so much harm. The outcome? Just listen to the new album while following the lyrics to know!

»Princess’ Stoned Sleep« narrates the transformation of the main character of »ZebathY« being the moment when she is charged by the entity that helped her in her revenge. Its more psychedelic approach illustrates her shattered dream. “In the conception of the instrumental I thought of a meeting between Black Sabbath and the lysergic sound of San Francisco, and it turned out to be quite a different track within the album,” Fabiano continues. The video recordings were made in a room in Fabiano Negri’s music school, Cultura Pop, and were directed by Flavio Carnielli, winner of several awards for horror short films, edited by Ian Pinheiro – Fabiano’s son, who also participated in the backing vocals for the track – and counted with the incredible interpretation of the actress Helena Oliveira as the main character. “I even wrote songs for two of his works: »Eternidade« and »Boneca«. The guy is a master! It was great to have him with me on this project, because he really knows the language of the type of terror I wanted. It is a simple, honest, but very strong video,” concludes the singer.

A story as dense as this one, which at some moments gets closer to horror, deserves a heavy soundtrack to match. So, weight predominates throughout the 8 killer tracks of »ZebathY«. Fabiano’s well-tuned guitar (who also recorded vocals and drums; Ric Parma took over the bass) is the thread of this project, by the side of creative drum arrangements, which makes the album have the mood its theme demands. No wonder that, after its official release last month, »ZebathY« reached expressive numbers of auditions on digital platforms and physical CD sales!

“I am very happy to see that the numbers of »ZebathY« are doing very well, growing every week not only in Brazil but also in the world! This proves to me that, no matter how many variations contemporary metal can have, people will always enjoy the good old classic heavy metal! It is impregnated in the DNA of every headbanger!” Fabiano Negri concluded excitedly.

»ZebathY« was recorded at Sonic Paw Studio (Sao Paulo) with joint production between Fabiano Negri and Ric Parma, and featured the more than special guest of Ian Pinheiro, Fabiano’s son, who recorded drums on the track »Bloody Dawn« and made the backing vocals on »Princess’ Stoned Sleep«. Cover art and booklet are signed by Wagner Galesco.
