Dead Jungle Sledge is a brazillian metal band formed in 2014 by Gabriel Marca, that right in the beginning asked his friend Vinicius Pagnussat to become part of the band. The band first origin was in the contryside of Santa Catarina, a town called São Joaquim. Dead Jungle Sledge emerged after the end of two bands where both Gabriel and Vinicius were part of. To complete the power trio they invited Josué Costa to join the band with the purpose of composing their own material, in grunge style. The band was called Muffled then.
The first songs were rising, starting to form their own style, and also playing some concerts around the town. The songs were getting heavier and denser, singing them in English and even releasing some songs. Though, Josué couldn’t play in the band anymore for personal reasons, it was when they decided to ask an old band mate of Gabriel, Lucas Gomes.
The band got together and started to find a more natural way to produce songs, leading them into the metal style, for this reason, they changed their name to Dead Jungle Sledge, this time writing songs even denser and heavier than before, being influenced by Pantera, Black Label Society, Down, Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Alice In Chains, etc.
In April, 2020, the band released their first album titled »Unmask«. At the moment the band is focused on producing new tracks and new content.
