Brazil’s stoner metal band Mãe Serpente, formed in the Vale do Aço region and featuring Fernando Dias (vocals and guitar), Mário Rodrigues (bass), and Victor Espeschit (drums), presents its second single from their anticipated album »Vol. II – Fúria Sem Olhos«, scheduled for release on digital platforms on July 27th, 2026. »Mãe Serpente«, the track that gives its name to the trio and also to their upcoming album, is accompanied by a lyric video.

In the new composition, the band explores the ancestral symbolism of the serpent as a manifestation of the sacred. The lyrics traverse different cultural and mythological traditions in which this element appears as a deity, guardian, and agent of transformation, associated with knowledge, rebirth, life, and death. “The aim is to present the serpent as a universal force present in the history of humanity, while the arrangements create a ritualistic atmosphere that reinforces the theme of the composition,” explains Fernando Dias.

Since 2015, the trio has developed an identity based on stoner and doom metal, also incorporating influences from 1970s hard rock and classic heavy metal. The result is a sound marked by heavy riffs, a dense atmosphere, and lyrics in Portuguese that address social, philosophical, and existential issues.

After releasing their debut album in 2019 and going through a hiatus during the pandemic, the band returns with a new creative phase, marked by greater artistic maturity and aesthetic unity. This moment began with the single »Fúria Sem Olhos« and continues with »Mãe Serpente«, consolidating the sound proposal of their next work. “The new album balances the characteristic heaviness of stoner and doom metal with references to 70s hard rock and traditional metal. The compositions also expand our lyrical universe, exploring social, philosophical, and symbolic themes,” highlights Dias.

The track »Fúria Sem Olhos« addresses anger as a driving force, not just as a blind explosion, but as an impulse for action, resistance, and determination amidst adverse scenarios. The result is a song that combines heavy riffs, direct energy, and a dense emotional charge, maintaining Mãe Serpente’s dark and introspective identity. With »Fúria Sem Olhos«, the band doesn’t just present a new song. It firmly establishes itself in a sharper phase, where stoner metal meets the weight of heavy metal and transforms tension into fuel.

The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Audio One Studios by Alan Wallace, while the vocals were recorded at 415 Home Studio. The full album releases on all digital platforms on July 27th, 2026 and is available for streaming on all major digital platforms.
