Nevada City, California based doom/post-metal band Æquorea is back with their third album, »Departure«, which was just released on April 3rd, 2024.

Says the band: “Our third full-length, »Departure« is out on all digital platforms on April 3rd. Tapes available through Fiadh Productions on April 5th.”

Æquorea is a post-metal/doom band from Nevada City, California, formed in 2008.

New album by California juggernaut, Æquorea, finds the band on an orphic journey to the hell of the self, at war with phantoms and the final silence.

Many famous post-metal bands like Neurosis, Isis, Deafheaven, Intronaut etc. originate from this region, standing in quite the center of the whole “movement”.
