Redwood returns with new EP »Sky Offering«! Brace for cosmic, psychedelic grooves February 7th!

Hot on the heels of Redwood’s explosive »Dry Rivers« EP just this past June, the one-man crew of space-age, psychedelic doom is refusing to exit warpspeed. Thrusters are go for third EP »Sky Offering« to touch down on February 7th.

In the band’s own words:

“Working on this new EP »Sky Offering« was very liberating. I wrote the entire thing in about a week and a half, after facing a large personal setback in life. After working for about six months to achieve something I wasn’t able to achieve, I set out to put together something that I know I would be able to achieve.

Something that’s always been a constant in my adult life, is the presence of music. No matter what I’ve gone through in my teenage years, or in my adult life, I always know that I can sit down and let my creativity flow.

While playing the drums, the bass, the guitar, writing lyrics, recording everything, mixing everything, filming and producing a music video, and everything in between, there’s no extra room in my head for any of life’s bullshit. Everything else just fades away, and the only thing left is something that you’ve created, and something you can be proud of. If one person, or 1000 people listen to this album, enjoy it as loudly as I have, or even appreciate five seconds of one riff, I feel as though I’ve achieved something that I could die happy knowing.

To have the freedom to create soundscapes that are themed around fantasy stories about aliens coming to earth, ancient sacrifices to the gods from space, falling from the clouds, or any of the wacky shit that I conjure up in my mind, and to know that people resonate with the riffs and the lyrical content; means more to me than anyone could ever know. To me, this album is about reminding myself and others, that no matter what the setback is in life, you can always count on The Almighty Riff to steal negativity away from your mind to create something you’re proud of. If it resonates with one person, you’ve achieved the goal you set out to achieve, and that feeling is very liberating in a world of uncertainty.

This album is my offering to you, to make your day a bit brighter. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for enjoying this album, and for following Redwood as it spreads its roots.”
