Oakland, California based heavy rock/proto-metal band Maggus presents their two-track debut single, »Shadow Cross«, which was released December 2nd, 2022 via Lummox Records.

Says the band: “We’d like to introduce the first Maggus recording, a two song single available on cassette and digital. »Shadow Cross« is an original mini epic about the state of things in the world today, and »In The Grip Of Tyre Fitters Hand« is a cover song we’ve been doing since day one, that you should probably know.”

Four piece rock and roll band from Oakland, California!

Maggus was born when four friends in Oakland – some old, and some new to each other – came together to create heavy rock music: influenced peripherally by the sounds of the hazy 70’s long past. Kinda reinventing and not simply regurgitating.

Spearheaded by Bryce Shelton on guitar, the tank-like rhythm section of Clint Zane (drums) and Danny Lee (bass) soon entered the fold. The final component was maverick vocalist Silver River, bringing power and mystique to the front of the band. Now Maggus is storming the stages of the Bay Area and beyond, and a riff-filled future beckons down a glimmering path!
