“Slacker art, instrumental project from Saskatoon, SK aiming to diversify creative decisions in our local scene, and pave a path for ourselves independently.”

The Pilot Light about their debut album »Swallowing Cranes«:

“»Swallowing Cranes« is a mass of music recorded in 10 hours onto a tape machine in Josh’s basement and mixed by Owen at home. Josh plays guitar, Owen plays drums, Boden plays bass. They are The Pilot Light. The legendary John McBain (Monster Magnet, Desert Sessions, Hater) mastered it. »Swallowing Cranes« spans far and wide, from slow hazy dreams to intense layers of heavy groove. Like fish under ice surviving the winter, the loud and quiet, and the space where those frequencies emerge from. There’s a lot to be said about this album, but it speaks for itself, so thank you, enjoy…”

Written & recorded live to a 4 track in Josh’s basement, mixed by Owen at home, mastered by John McBain in his castle & distributed independently by the band.
