The members of Familiars grew up in small towns, on farms, and along the lake.
Their songs focus on Canadiana, stories from days gone by that your grandparents might tell you, and the tall tales proclaimed by the regulars at the local watering hole.
Their music is the soundtrack to late-night summer drives with the window down, stoking the fire on a blustery winter evening, picking rocks under the midday sun, and nursing a beer at the Legion.
Video for »Erebus & Terror« was edited by Kevin Vansteenkiste. The song follows the ships Erebus and Terror on their doomed 1845 voyage in search of the northwest passage. The video recreates that journey (known as “Franklin’s lost expedition” or “The Franklin expedition” through archival footage taken from multiple Arctic and Antarctic expeditions in the early 20th century.
