Kelowna, British Columbia based stoner/doom metal outfit Vulcanodon Phazer is back with a brand new album, »High On The Fly!«, which was released August 18, 2023 via Bud Metal Records.

Bud Metal Records presents the new Vulcanodon Phazer album, »High On The Fly!«. Leaning more towards the high tempo stoner/desert rock on this album, VP returns with the second part of the jam album set started with »Sorcerers Of Avalon«. Theremin takes the lead with the melodies on this modern take on vintage improvised psych, and stoned-out vocals drift around in the haze.

Plenty of psychedelic doom to be heard as well on this uniquely crafted, one of a kind sounding album. A blend of off-kilter rocking party tracks and smokey, spacey instrumental jams, »High On The Fly!« is the brightest and fastest Vulcanodon Phazer album to date. The heavy, super-saturated guitars crackle at the front of the mix, where they belong! Recommended for fans of Fu Manchu, Kyuss, and all the other classic bands from the ’90s fuzzed out desert scene.

Joined on this album by Charlie Handsome on lead guitars and backing vocals.

This time around, each instrument was layered on top of the initial improvised drums and guitars recorded in December 2022. Each layer is totally unwritten and unrehearsed, resulting in raw channeled psychedelic doom. We hope you enjoy the results of this cannabis infused sonic alchemy!
