Niagara, Ontario based stoner rock trio Cannabus has signed with Black Throne Productions to release a new EP on digital and CD formats next April, along with a new full-length to be released on digital, CD and vinyl format for early fall 2024. Cannabus will also be doing a spring tour through Ontario and Quebec for the EP release.
Black Throne Productions comments: “For BTP post #420, it’s only to be expected to announce our official partnership with Cannabus from Welland, Ontario!!
Cannabus debuted with the EP entitled »The Maple Spliff Sessions« last April, of course, on 4/20 (do you see where they’re going with their branding?)
The EP caught the attention of more than a few people and they’ve followed up with consistently promoting their music and playing some killer shows over the last year in the blooming Ontario stoner rock/doom market.
Cannabus stands out with a solid rhythm section, strong 70s hard blues inspirations, and thickened fuzzy tones.
We’ve brought Cannabus onto the BTP to help with their next EP, an Ontario/Quebec tour for 2024, and of course a full-length record on CD and vinyl format for next year!”
Cannabus is:
James Matheson – Guitar/Vox
Ethan Scott – Bass
Brandon Doucet – Drums
