God’s Funeral is a death/doom metal band formed in 2016 in Tarragona (Spain). Featuring current and former members of Arkhaeth, Cvltist, Destino/Entierro, General Winter, Mørknatt, Umbrae Nemoris and more.

The sound is a combination of death/doom with faster death metal and black metal elements. Recently, the band is also delving into funeral doom.

»El Despertar Dels Morts« (The Awakening Of The Dead) is the band’s first album after several split releases published along eight years.

It consists of 5 songs with a total duration of 45 minutes where music mixes melodic death doom with some of the slowest parts the band has ever recorded.

The lyrics are a conceptual story about the First World War, blending war stories with more personal ones.
