Catalan sludge/gothic/death metal band Halflighted presents their second full-length album »Terra Morta«

Palafolls, Spain based sludge/gothic/death metal band Halflighted is back with their second full-length album, »Terra Morta«, which was just released on January 7th, 2026.

Halflighted is a sludge/death metal band hailing from Palafolls, Spain.

Halflighted was conceived in 2018 by the minds of Óskart and Mark in Catalonia after the split of Mark’s previous death metal band Dryzer. Their initial idea for a death doom metal project slowly evolved into an eclectic and genre-defying opus as the current line-up consolidated itself in the following years.

On the band’s debut »Obloquy« (2023), 5 different music tastes fiercely clash to spawn sludge-infused songs that explore gothic undertones, death metal forces, progressive tints, classic rock drumming, a fair amount of psychedelia and many more hidden influences. This uncompromising soundscape’s exact genre is up to the listener to decide. Sung in English, Catalan and German, the lyrics mainly deal with war, inner struggles and despair through many different points of view.

In 2023, Halflighted signed a record deal with Wormholedeath Records to offer their carefully crafted debut album to the world. After Pepe’s departure at the end of 2024, the young Dídac joined the band on drums.
