»Death Of An Anarchist (Rethink)« is taken from the forthcoming, fully remixed version of Cathedral’s ninth studio album: »The Guessing Game (Rethink)« is released on October 30th. It was produced and by Warren Riker and originally released in 2010. This updated version was recently remixed in Portugal from the original masters, by Jaime Gomez Arellano. As well as having a new mix, the album also features alternate takes and unedited versions of songs, including the missing outro to »Death Of An Anarchist«, which is included here for the first time.

Cathedral’s ninth studio album was originally released by Nuclear Blast in 2010 as a double disc set and produced by x3 Grammy award winner Warren Riker (Fugees, Down, M People, Destiny’s Child, COC). It was perhaps their most ambitious effort to date. It covers a lot of musical territories that the band were known for, with each song having a somewhat different to vibe to the next.

»The Guessing Game« has been a somewhat overlooked album in the Cathedral repertoire and, whilst the band were happy with the production, they always considered the original mix to be a bit lack-lustre. So now, with the recording rights reverting to the band, they thought it a good time to revisit the masters and get the album sounding more in keeping with how they would have liked it to sound at the time.
With that in mind, the album has been completely remixed from the original masters by long time collaborator Jaime Gomez Arellano. Now with a more cohesive, stripped down, raw and powerful sound. It includes alternate takes and extended versions of songs, now stretching over five sides of vinyl, enabling the tracks to breathe like never before. This new mix gives »The Guessing Game« a revitalised energy, which almost makes it sound like a new album.
