Chicago, Illinois based instrumental stoner/sludge metal duo Sun King Ba has just released their new two-track single »Parietal Eye« on August 29th, 2025. This is Sun King Ba’s third release after 2023’s »Goliath Worm«.

Sun King Ba is an instrumental stoner/sludge metal band from Chicago, IL. The duo of Anthony Santoro (guitars/bass) and Calvin Schaller (drums) employ pummeling riffs, intricate leads, and a thundering rhythm section to narrate the legend of the reptile demigod Sun King Ba.

Their upcoming release »Parietal Eye«, engineered by Matt Russell at Altered States in Chicago, IL and mastered by Edward Hamelat Identity Mastering, explores a quieter moment in the world of Sun King Ba, as he experiences metaphysical revelation while meditating on his origin beneath the rays of the summer solstice. »Parietal Eye«is out on August 29, 2025 on all streaming platforms.
