Chilean melodic doom metal band Wooden Veins present us their second single, »Broken World«. This new song displays other aspects of their music, showing a slower, darker and even more melancholic side, while keeping the depth and heaviness of their sound.
Band would comment: “»Broken World« is about that moment when you realise everything is falling to pieces, that sustained feeling of distress when you see yourself as a shadow of what you used to be.”
Video recorded in Coquimbo, (Chile), Gerona (Spain), Plzen (Czech Republic) and Berlin (Germany) between December 2022 and January 2023.
Wooden Veins, formed by Chilean musicians mostly based in European countries, engages in classic melodic doom metal, combining it with progressive and gothic elements, exploring even further as they bring more heaviness and even Latin flavour into their sound.
Their debut album »In Finitude« (The Vinyl Division Rec.), released in 2021, got an excellent response from the media, ranking the album in many lists as one of the best of 2021.
Currently the band is promoting the single »Tearing Seas«, their first release after »In Finitude«. Album release and an European Tour should follow in 2023.
