Santiago, Chile based stoner metal veterans Yajaira are gearing up to release their new album »Epopeya« in vinyl format on October 16th, 2024 via Algo Records.

»Epopeya« originally dropped on June 24th, 2024 in digital format.

Yajaira returns with their long-awaited album »Epopeya« on vinyl. An exciting sonic journey that explores the various facets of their sound throughout almost 30 years of career. With an exquisite cover and Jack Endino’s mastery in mastering, the album offers an immersive experience, from traditional doom metal to touches of psychedelia and sludge. The band comments: “The official release of this will take place on Wednesday, October 16 at 8:00 p.m. at Centro Arte Alameda, where we will have the special participation of our original drummer Sebastián “Flecha” Arce who recorded the album.

We want to thank Algo Records and also our friend Leo Rocha for helping us realize the final concept of the art that accompanies our work.

The album was produced by Pablo Giadach and Yajaira at Lautaro studio in Santiago de Chile and mastered by Jack Endino in Seattle.

Iconic stoner band from Santiago with more than 20 years of experience that was born from the ashes of Jusolis – a band from the independent heavy rock circuit of the 90s – and is considered by specialized critics as one of the most influential in the Latin American scene of the genre. With some changes in the team, they are still standing to deliver their crushing rock from the abyss. For lovers of Black Sabbath and Blue Cheer among others.

Currently, the band is made up of Miguel “Comegato” Montenegro on bass and vocals, Sam Maqueira on guitar and vocals, and Christian MacDonald on drums. Their previous work is »Post Tenebras Lux« (2017) that brought them back to Algorecords and was produced by the legendary Jack Endino.

Recorded and mixed in Santiago de Chile at Lautaro studio by Pablo Giadach in 2023 and 24.
