Heredia, Costa Rica based atmospheric doom/death metal band Solamort has just released their debut album »Chants For The Wounds Not To Heal« on September 25th, 2026 via Cognitive Discordance Records.

Solamort is a Costa Rican atmospheric doom death metal band formed by ZAG (Matternaught, Shadows Breed, Vermirah) and Daniel Araya (Aeons Of Silence, Inner Sun, Depleted). Their sound combines crushing heaviness, melancholic melodies and dark atmospheric textures. The project draws from themes of mortality, isolation and human suffering through a personal and introspective approach.

»Chants For The Wounds Not To Heal« is an album exploring grief, loss, inner void, and the scars left by a past that refuses to fade. Heavy, melancholic and immersive, its music turns pain, memory and suffering into something dark and ritualistic. At its core, the album explores how certain wounds become part of who we are, keeping the presence of what has been lost alive long after it is gone.
