Daily Thompson to release new studio album »Glue« on August 21st via Noisolution; second single & music video »BTK« streaming now!

Dortmund, Germany based alternative/grunge/fuzz rock trio Daily Thompson premiere a music video for the second single »BTK« taken from their forthcoming studio album, »Glue«, due out on August 21st, 2026 via Noisolution.

Following the first single »Heart Of Bones«, »BTK« is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Says the band: “It is the first song in which we feature female vocals throughout the entire track. The lyrics were chosen to capture the feeling of victimhood and the emotional journey from hope to fierceness. In the end, the victim longs for release. The song portrays an experience that no woman should ever have to endure, while at the same time celebrating the strength, resilience and empowerment of women.”

»Glue« is the finest expression yet of the profound friendships that created Daily Thompson. Here singer and guitarist Danny Zaremba, bassist Mercedes Lalakakis-Bee and drummer Thorsten „Babblz“ Stratmann finally find their place in grunge/alternative and indie rock.

It feels like the band get their sound together as they always wanted it. Inspired by bands like Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Alice In Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins, they created their vision of the nineties Seattle sound, heavily influenced by the grunge scene, the songs on »Glue« are known for massive, fuzzy, distorted guitars, melodic hooks, and the signature vocals from both sides, this is the first time Mercedes sings the lead vocals for an entire song.

But »Glue« also contains songs like »Chains«, »SIAM« or »Here I Stand« that are dedicated to the actual grunge sound. The album creates a significant sonic connection through shared loud, heavy indie/alt-rock DNA. Like the American alternative rock scene that informed Seattle, bringing loud, feedback-drenched guitar back to indie rock years before grunge exploded.

The band recorded the album in January 2026 in Seattle / Port Orchard, USA at APL recording again with Tony Reed. Their last album, Chuparosa, was met with critical acclaim, that is why the band returned to Seattle to record »Glue« with Reed as producer and guest musician.

The bands seventh studio album showcases Daily Thompson at the peak of their powers – grungy, effervescent, as confident as they’ve ever been and more emotional than ever before.
