»Small.Town.Depression« is the third and final single from the band’s upcoming EP, »Pale Serenades«, which will be released on September 30th, 2022 via Lifeforce Records.
The band comments: “It has been a big incentive for us for a long time to try out how it would sound to make a song that contains elements that are foreign to our songs. But also to leave out instruments that basically make up our music.
»Pale Serenades« offered us the platform to try this out. We were able to win Michelle Darkness from End Of Green for the vocals, who fit perfectly with his extraordinary voice. We wish you a good start into the weekend! This time danceable with »Small.Town.Depression«.”

»Pale Serenades« is a very special release with rearrangements of classic Décembre Noir tracks featuring Mick Moss (Antimatter), Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride), Michelle Darkness (End Of Green) and Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium). Together the musicians develop a dark, touching sound. Death and doom metal take a back seat this time. Décembre Noir and their guests change the stylistic framework. They stage the songs acoustic and rocky, in other places electronically enriched or modern-metallic.
01. A Swan Lake Full Of Tears (feat. Mick Moss)
02. Barricades (feat. Aaron Stainthorpe)
03. Small.Town.Depression (feat. Michelle Darkness)
04. The Forsaken Earth (feat. Matthew K. Heafy)
The four songs of »Pale Serenades« come from very different creative periods of the band from Thuringia – at least the original versions. Chronologically descending, Décembre Noir’s new EP offers one track from each of the albums »The Renaissance Of Hope« (2020), »Autumn Kings« (2018), »Forsaken Earth« (2016) and »A Discouraged Believer« (2014).
