Drummer Justin Di Pinto of High Reeper comments: “When we were given the opportunity to be on a »Doom Sessions« we jumped at the chance. Shane moved over to guitar and our music is definitely evolving. The lineup change propelled us in a new direction and our sound is much more metal now but our take on heavy metal. So being able to do »Doom Sessions« allowed us to take our first steps in crafting a completely new direction for the band. Being on the split w Hippie Death Cult is great for us too because it allows both bands to draw from different audiences while still being able to share EP. Their tracks are really great and their new album totally kicks ass.”

About High Reeper:

Formed in 2016, High Reeper is made up of Zach Thomas, Justin Di Pinto, Pat Daly and Shane Trimble. Originally started as just a studio band, it rapidly became apparent that these songs were meant to be heard live and loud.

The band made their debut in the Philly/DE stoner rock scene in early 2017 with success which was followed up by the recording of their self-titled debut in May. With a sound deeply rooted in modern stoner rock while still giving a nod to the earliest Sabbath records, High Reeper’s first offering is driven by pounding rhythms, thick guitars and soaring, screeching vocals.

For their second record, the addition of Di Pinto on drums helped focus their sound in an even more powerful direction. The result is a new record with riffs that are even heavier than before that explore new directions, including the ballad »Apocalypse Hymn«.

High Reeper is:
Shane Trimble – Bass
Zach Thomas – Vocals
Pat Daly – Guitars
Justin Di Pinto – Drums

About Hippie Death Cult:

Portland, Oregon based quartet Hippie Death Cult has proven to be one of the more exciting hard rock bands to surface in recent years, They have earned a stellar reputation both for live performance and recorded material from fans and critics alike. They began writing and performing in early 2018, but the roots of HDC go much deeper.
